Thursday TV Talk

Hi everyone!

Before we get to some of my TV tidbits for the week, I just wanted to say thanks for your encouragement (whether it’s by lurking, commenting, or liking) on this blog!  I’m really excited to be a part of this community and your support (including from some individuals I really really admire) is so so appreciated.  Smile

Anyway, here are some of my thoughts on shows I’ve seen the past week:

1. Walking Dead:  I thought last week’s episode of WD was one of the best of the season – probably because Andrea wasn’t in it.  And because Rick seems to be getting past his craziness just a little bit (although it could just seem that way since Morgan is even crazier than Rick).  I was also happy to see Michonne, you know, actually talk (do it more Michonne, it makes us like you!)

Most powerful moment, hands down.

2. GIRLS:  I realize that I’m really not that much of a hot mess, but I can seriously relate to at least one part of every episode of this show.  That being said, I really wasn’t all that interested in Hannah’s OCD storyline, and I wish there had been more of…everyone else.  Also Adam is somehow crazy yet adorable.

3. The New Normal:  Besides being confused at first about why I was watching a Halloween episode, I have to say that I’m really getting over this show.  Mainly because of Shania.  She just really isn’t that “adorable” or endearing to me anymore.  Sorry Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha :/

4.  The Following:  Still terrified and watching, even though the plausibility of all this is a stretch.  Best scene was definitely Joey meeting his father….in a Manson-like compound of course.

In other news, I’m still pumped about my training – a 3 mile run happened today, and while my left hamstring is SORE now I’m hoping it’s temporary.

HOORAY FOR FRIDAY!  We’re excited over here.

Err, well I’m celebrating at least, with cake batter ice cream.

Favorite show you watched this week? (or movie or article you read!)

The Following!

What book are you reading?

After a four year hiatus from pleasure reading, I’m getting back into it with Bossypants by Tina Fey!  I would love some extra suggestions to put on my list, so feel free to leave a comment with your current fave!
